In this project, Appen is collecting speech data in Italian language to train and develop artificial intelligence algorithms that will be used to improve speech recognition technologies.
We're looking for native speakers of Italian language to read and record short prompts in Italian using our Appen Mobile app.
The task contains a total of 102 short sentences that you need to read on a screen and record using the Appen Mobile app. You just have to follow the sentences written in Italian, no need to create your own sentences.
Example of a sentence that you would need to read: "Siri pioverà stasera"
Each sentence will take only 3-10 seconds. In total, for the 102 recordings, please plan at least 45 minutes. Of course, we recommend you to take breaks and we will give you at least 2 days (48 hours) to record your session.
REQUIREMENTS
- Have a recent smartphone
- 18 years old or older
- Must be a native speaker of Italian
- Be able to record in a very quiet indoor environment, free from any background noises
PAYMENT
The task pay rate is $15 for 102 recordings. To earn the payrate, your session must pass our quality-checking phase according to the instructions provided to you. The payrate shown is the total amount you can earn for 102 accepted recordings, not for each recordings.
If your entire session is not accepted, you will be paid proportionally for each accepted recording, as long as at least 80% of your session is accepted.
