The Parks, Biodiversity and Landscape Services team comprises a dynamic and

multidisciplinary group of professionals responsible for shaping the vision for Dublin’s

parks and green infrastructure network, and for advancing the city’s natural heritage

conservation and biodiversity restoration objectives. The team also manages the full

range of amenities and facilities within the Parks network and oversees the

stewardship of the city’s urban forest, which includes approximately 100,000 trees


An opportunity now exists in Dublin City Council for the position of Senior Parks and

Landscapes Officer.


Job Summary/Description:


The Senior Parks & Landscape Officer will be responsible for the efficient management of

their prescribed work area within the related function. As a senior manager, they will play a

key role in advancing the Local Authority’s strategic vision and objectives, working

collaboratively with elected Councillors to deliver the full range of services and implement

local policy decisions.

They will have a strong track record of delivery in parks/landscape management and

landscape design and will have proven expertise in the operation of the various IT systems

available for the effective day to day management of budgets, procurement, design, and

asset and tree management.
