The Council is seeking applications from suitably qualified candidates with relevant

experience for the position of Senior Executive Engineer across a range of

disciplines that have and will arise of the duration of this panel. The Council’s work

covers Road Maintenance & Construction; Road Design; Environmental Services;

Housing Construction and Design; Community and Planning etc. The Senior

Executive Engineer will report directly to the Senior Engineer, or such person as may

be assigned from time to time by Donegal County Council.

Under the direction and supervision of the appropriate line manager, the post holder

will provide engineering or ancillary services of an advisory, supervisory, or executive

nature as may be required by the Council in the exercise and performance of any of

its powers, functions and duties.

The Senior Executive Engineer will be required to lead a team or teams and to

provide technical and managerial support across all local authority service areas and

to liaise with external agencies and stakeholders. They may also be required to

deputise for the Senior Engineer.
