The Growth & Partnerships Lead will drive strategic collaborations with companies, organizations, and stakeholders to foster inclusivity and create career and business opportunities. Responsibilities include identifying and securing partnerships, designing and implementing growth strategies, managing projects for events and programs, and analyzing metrics to measure impact.
The role also involves representing APNI in external engagements, networking to amplify our mission, and supporting the long-term sustainability of the organisation.
This role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution, and reports to the APNI President and Vice President. It is critical to APNI’s sustainability, reach, and long-term impact, ensuring that growth initiatives, partner relationships, and programs are aligned with APNI’s mission, values, and annual objectives. The role works closely with the President, Executive Team, Directors, and key volunteers, and serves as a central point of coordination across growth, partnerships, and program delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Growth & Organisational Development
Develop and execute growth strategies to increase APNI’s membership base, engagement, and visibility.
Identify opportunities to expand APNI’s reach across sectors, geographies, and professional communities.
Track and report on key growth metrics (membership growth, engagement, program uptake).
Support fundraising, sponsorship, and revenue-generating initiatives in collaboration with Finance and Corporate Relations.
Contribute to annual planning, goal-setting, and performance reviews related to growth objectives.
Partnerships & External Relations
Identify, develop, and manage strategic partnerships with corporates, institutions, NGOs, and community organisations.
Serve as APNI’s primary point of contact for key partners, sponsors, and collaborators.
Negotiate partnership scopes, deliverables, and mutual value propositions in line with APNI policies.
Ensure partnership deliverables are met and relationships are maintained professionally and proactively.
Collaborate with Events, Marketing, and Programs teams to integrate partners into APNI activities where appropriate.
Ensure all partnerships comply with APNI governance, brand, and ethical standards.
Programs Strategy & Delivery
Ensure programs are aligned with member needs, APNI strategy, grants and partner objectives.
Oversee program timelines, resources, volunteers, and delivery quality.
Monitor and evaluate program impact, incorporating feedback and continuous improvement.
Work with Marketing and Communications to promote programs and maximise participation.
Cross-Team Collaboration & Operations
Work closely with the Executive Team, Directors, and volunteer leads to ensure alignment across initiatives.
Support governance, reporting, and documentation related to growth, partnerships, and programs.
Contribute to SOP development, process improvements, and operational excellence.
Represent APNI professionally at events, meetings, and external engagements.
Undertake other duties as required to support APNI’s mission and operational needs.
Essential Qualifications
Strong skills in Growth Hacking, Fundraising and Sales to drive development and secure meaningful partnerships
Excellent Communication skills, including networking, stakeholder engagement, and relationship-building
Proficiency in Project Management, with the ability to plan, execute, and oversee programs successfully
Analytical Skills to evaluate data, measure impact, and inform strategic decisions
3 years of previous experience in a leadership role, business development, or non-profit/social enterprise is an advantage
Strong entrepreneurial attributes, proactive approach to problem-solving, creativity, and decision-making
Familiarity with diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) principles is desirable
Bachelor's degree in Business, Communication, HR or a related field preferred
Ability to adapt to change within a constantly evolving environment.
Desirable Background
Experience working with social enterprises or non-profit organisations.
Background in sales, partnerships, sponsorships, or corporate relations.
Experience in scaling operations and programs.
Familiarity with corporate governance, finance, reporting, and compliance in an organisational setting.
