The Information Systems (IS) Department delivers Information and Communications

Technology (ICT) to Dublin City Council, providing services under five key areas: Strategy,

Project Management, Application Support, Security and Technical Management. Services

are provided under Service Level Agreements agreed with the client Departments using

international Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) standards. The Service

Desk provides help and assistance to users who do not have a local IT unit. ICT Projects are

managed under international best practices and agreed corporate structures. Over 5,000

users are supported in more than 140 specific applications at 170 locations throughout the

City.

An opportunity now exists in Dublin City Council for the position of Assistant ICT Manager.


Job Summary/Description:


The Assistant ICT Manager (SEO) is a senior position within the Information

Communications Technology function. The appointee will report to the ICT Manager or

the head of Digital Services. The Assistant Head of Information Systems is a key

member of the department’s management team. They will plan and direct the

development and implementation of complex Information Technology (IT) systems to

support the operation of the Local Authority, while ensuring best practice standards.
