How did you first hear about APNI, and what made you want to join
I first got involved with APNI as a Student Ambassador. I was inspired by the mission to connect African professionals in Ireland and wanted to be part of a community that uplifts and supports each other. The experience was so rewarding that I later joined the Marketing Team to contribute even more.
How has this community impacted you personally or professionally?
APNI has had a huge impact on both my personal and professional life. On a personal level, I’ve built friendships with people who share similar experiences and backgrounds. Professionally, I’ve gained valuable insights into event management and networking. Through the Career Accelerator Program, I was paired with a mentor in my field, which gave me hands-on experience and career advice that helped prepare me for life after university
If you could be APNI President for one day, what would you implement or change?
The current President is doing an amazing job, so I wouldn’t change much! But if I had the opportunity, I would organize an awards ceremony to celebrate African professionals in Ireland, recognizing their contributions across various industries.
What’s something exciting you’re working on at the moment?
Right now, I’m working on a marketing strategy for a friend who is a music artist. It’s an exciting project because he’s incredibly talented, and I believe that with the right strategy, combined with his skills, he’ll get the recognition he deserves.
