We have a fantastic opportunity to lead the development of the technology strategy and governance at Aviva. The successful individual will report directly to the Head of Technology Strategy and Governance, will oversee the alignment of technology initiatives with the business plan while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and driving the continued adoption of best practices across the organisation.
You will work with other leaders in the CIO function and across the business to deliver a refreshed technology strategy and ensure cohesive execution of technology initiatives. Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategies to enhance the resilience of technology systems and processes.
Stay abreast of future technology trends and assess their potential impact on the organisation.
Stay informed of future regulation trends and use insights to enhance existing governance structures.
Advocate for data, working with stakeholders to shape business cases and secure investment.
Keep abreast of industry trends and relevant regulatory changes, providing guidance on emerging threats as well as opportunities.
Establish metrics and KPIs to monitor the effectiveness of technology governance practices.
Skills & Experience:
The successful candidate will have a broad skillset, and qualifications in technology and or business disciplines.
Substantial experience in technology governance, risk management, or a related field.
Ability to build and guide the development of technology strategies aligned to our business ambition, collaborating with key stakeholders.
Demonstrate strong leadership skills by inspiring and guiding teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment, and driving the successful implementation of technology governance initiatives.
Proactive and forward-thinking approach to technology governance
Ability to balance innovation with risk management.
Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
Excellent written and engaging communication style.
