We’re looking for a Scheme Underwriting Team Manager to join our Commercial team at Aviva Life & Pensions Ireland. You’ll lead a team of group protection underwriters, helping us deliver high-quality scheme quotations and support our ambitious growth strategy. You’ll work closely with Pricing, Propositions, Sales and Customer Experience to shape our underwriting philosophy and improve customer outcomes.
Duties & Responsibilities
Lead and coach a team of scheme underwriters to deliver high-quality decisions.
Approve group protection quotes within delegated authority levels.
Support and implement underwriting philosophy and continuous improvement initiatives.
Manage workload peaks and ensure service standards are met.
Build and maintain strong relationships across internal and external stakeholders.
Skills & Experiences
Strong understanding of group protection products and market.
Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
Experience in team leadership and performance management.
LIA qualification and ability to coach others in management skills.
