Aviva Ireland General Insurance are looking for a talented and experienced individual to join our Polaris Team in the Personal Lines Change Area on a 24-month fixed term contract. As a Polaris Analyst you will help in deliveringmultiple initiatives from ideation to deployment. The role is focused on delivery new initiatives to our personal insurance products and systems, and to work closely with our Broker and Direct customers to support them in their digital journey.
Your role will be focussed on helping Polaris Team members with developing, testing, deploying and UAT support by performing tasks associated with the Polaris Product writers. Whilst knowledge of Polaris Product writerapplication is an advantage, being able to quickly learn a new application is an important skill for the successful candidate to have.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop & support new products using Product writer software – transform business requirements into working products.
Support & maintain existing Polaris products including rate and rule changes, through entire change lifecycle –from discussions with change managers, through to developing change and supporting testing and deployment.
Co-ordinate batch testing processes, including the Product writer test harness to run routine tests.
Improve processes. Identify and promote better ways to complete day to day job and improve cross-team collaboration.
Document scheme functionality and maintain knowledge of suite of products, as well as processes.
Work closely with other teams (UAT, Pricing, Product, Retail, IT) across the Company representing the Polaris team & understanding how our schemes interactive with all the various systems both internally & externally.
Skills and experience:
Experience in insurance, particularly in general insurance products is preferred.
Experience in Product writer programming skills is not required but is an advantage.
Good communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively to the Business owners & IT on technical issues.
A strong decision-making and prioritisation skillset, with ability to operate effectively under pressure in dealing with multiple customers and timelines.
The ability to work as part of a tight team & work on own initiative.
Strong excel skills including VBA.
