The Financial Reporting Manager is a leadership role within the UK Divisional Centre Financial Control (FC) team at Bank of Ireland. The role is responsible for overseeing month-end close, statutory and regulatory reporting, and financial control processes, while supporting business and funding decisions through accurate reporting and analysis.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading the team in successful month-end close, managing dependencies, and ensuring timely delivery of close processes.
Reviewing reconciliations and ensuring all entries comply with accounting standards and business logic.
Managing statutory and regulatory reporting under a strong control framework.
Collaborating with UK Treasury and presenting financial results, highlighting variances, and explaining key movements in P&L and balance sheet.
Acting as a subject matter expert (SME) for auditors and responding to queries.
Supporting cross-training and skill development within the team, and ensuring adherence to high control standards.
This is a temporary, fixed-term, full-time hybrid role, based primarily at Belfast, within a regulated financial services environment.
