The DevOps Engineer will join the DevOps Center of Excellence (COE) to deliver automated processes and tooling that streamline software delivery across the Bank of Ireland. This role involves collaboration with development teams, IT architects, and security teams to ensure production-ready, compliant, and highly automated environments.

Key responsibilities include:

• Build and improve Infrastructure as Code (IaC) components using Terraform or Ansible.

• Support developers in deploying applications and integrating new solutions.

• Ensure automation and compliance across cloud and virtualized environments.

• Collaborate with security and IT architects to maintain governance and standards.

• Influence development teams’ practices to adopt newer, automated solutions.

Technical expectations:

• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP).

• Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).

• Understanding of containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).

• Scripting or development experience (Python, Java, Golang, etc.).

• Knowledge of SSL, cryptography, and deployment automation.

Essential qualifications:

• BSc or MSc in an engineering field or equivalent experience.

This role is permanent, full-time, and hybrid, primarily based in Dublin.
