The Deputy Manager – Leveraged Acquisition Finance (LAF) is a senior professional role within the Portfolio team of the Specialist Banking unit at Bank of Ireland. The role involves managing a portfolio of leveraged finance deals, supporting private equity clients across a range of sectors, geographies, and capital structures.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing and monitoring a portfolio of leveraged transactions, ensuring robust credit and risk management.
Preparing in-depth credit applications and reviews, evaluating financial and non-financial information to assess transaction viability.
Identifying business development opportunities across the LAF portfolio and managing transactions from initial analysis through to execution and closing (including M&A, add-ons, dividend recapitalisations, and refinancing).
Building and maintaining strong relationships with borrowers, private equity sponsors, lenders, and other market participants.
Participating in client and lender meetings, potentially including international travel.
Adhering to regulatory, compliance, and risk management standards, while promoting a strong risk culture.
The role requires excellent financial analysis, credit assessment, and relationship management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Hybrid working is offered, with a primary base in Baggot Plaza, Dublin 4.
This is a permanent, full-time role, with one opportunity also available as a 12-month secondment.
