Square is seeking high-energy, motivated individuals to join their Sales Development organization. This is an entry-level sales role focused on prospecting new merchants, promoting Square’s products and services, and generating qualified leads for Account Executives.

Key responsibilities:

  • Source potential merchants that fit Square’s ideal customer profile.

  • Manage a pipeline of businesses, prioritizing outreach to accelerate sales cycles.

  • Conduct outbound sales via cold calling, email, and social selling.

  • Understand merchant needs and promote Square solutions tailored to those needs.

  • Collaborate with Account Executives to refine prospecting strategies.

  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly sales quotas.

  • Grow skills through mentorship and developmental opportunities within the Sales team.

Required experience and qualifications:

  • 3–6+ months of sales experience, including internships or entry-level roles.

  • Enthusiasm for developing sales skills, especially in cold calling and outbound prospecting.

  • Alignment with the Sales Team’s values: personal leadership, authenticity, teamwork, curiosity, and energy.

  • Desire to build a career in sales.
