The Architectural Assistant Grade I is a professional technical role within the Office of Public Works (OPW), supporting the delivery of architectural services for Government Departments, State Agencies, and cultural institutions across Ireland.
Working as part of multidisciplinary design and project teams, the Architectural Assistant applies architectural and technical principles in the development of buildings from concept through delivery. The role involves contributing to design development, project management, conservation and maintenance works, procurement processes, and advisory services, while ensuring compliance with project briefs, statutory and regulatory requirements, and environmental and energy efficiency standards.
This is a permanent, full-time civil service role, with opportunities based in OPW offices nationwide. A national panel will be formed to fill current and future vacancies.
