An amazing opportunity has arisen for a Tech Operator. The Operator is responsible for carrying out processing activities in full accordance with all work instructions (written and electronic) and using automation systems.

The Operator will proactively work with the Production Shift Manager and the Process Development and Commercialization engineers to integrate new products into the Formulation facility either as new process development entities or as products transferred from another manufacturing facility. The Operator will support migration of process knowledge for product technical transfers from facility. In day to day operating terms this means facilitating and working with engineers and others to optimise processes. Optimising processes involves, from time to time, engineers and others operating and adjusting equipment as required

What you will do:

Bring energy, knowledge, innovation and leadership to carry out the following:

  • Operating Production Equipment (Compression /FIlm Coating)

  • Movement of materials and interaction with SAP during material movement

  • Equipment dis-assembly & set-up for processing and cleaning.

  • Completion of equipment set-up checks as required.

  • Cleaning and visual inspection of processing equipment

  • Completion of batch-to-batch minor cleaning and verification of such in processing modules.

  • Cleaning/decontamination and visual inspection of processing rooms, storage areas etc.

  • Carrying out process control monitoring checks such as tablet hardness, thickness, weight and disintegration.

  • Post production review of electronic and hard copy batch documentation including reviewing and attaching various module reports to the Electronic batch record

  • Handling and storage of waste materials as per work instructions (e.g. waste liners, drums, used GMP garbing etc.)

  • Control of equipment and material status as per work instructions

  • Sampling of production material and utility systems as required.

  • Completing daily/weekly/monthly facility logs and records (written & electronic as required).

What skills you will need:

In order to excel in this role, you will more than likely have:

  • Leaving Certificate or equivalent

  • An understanding of Quality/cGMPs, Safety and Environmental regulations that impact production

  • Demonstrated communication skills and proven track record of effective team working

  • Demonstrated understanding of API or Formulations Operations would be a significant advantage.

  • Demonstrated a knowledge of High potency products and processes

  • Demonstrated safety focus

  • Compression or Film Coating experience advantageous.
