An opportunity now exists in Dublin City Council for the position of Senior Scientist.
Job Summary/Description:
The Senior Scientist will be responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team of chemists,
biologists, microbiologists, technicians, administrative and support staff.
The Senior Scientist will be responsible for running the largest Laboratory in the Local
authority Sector, involving the analysis of in the region of 30,000 samples annually using a
wide range of sophisticated analytical instrumentation.
Among the services that the Senior Scientist will be managing include but not limited to the
analysis of drinking waters, bathing waters, reservoirs, rivers and streams to ensure
compliance with national and EU standards.
