The Civil Service Occupational Health Department (CSOHD) is a specialised business unit

within the Department of Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Service Reform &

Digitalisation (DPER). It is accredited by Safe Effective Quality Occupational Health Service

(SEQOHS), which is the international quality standard in Occupational Health.


The CSOHD comprises a dedicated team of healthcare professionals and administration

staff committed to promoting the occupational health of 53,000 Civil Service employees

across 56 government Departments and Offices including Prisons and other selected public

sector employees.

The CSOHD is now seeking a dedicated Occupational Physician to join their dynamic and

friendly team. The role offers a range of benefits including access to numerous paid

Learning and Development supports, dedicated time off to meet externally accredited

Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements relevant to the role. It also offers other

This permanent position presents an excellent opportunity for an accomplished professional

with the relevant skills and experience to play an integral role in the provision of a

progressive occupational health service which supports civil servants, prison officers, and

state industrial and defence employees.


The successful candidate will be based in a modern, purpose-built clinic in the vibrant area

of Smithfield, Dublin City which is accessible by excellent transport links.
