What is the opportunity?
We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic individual to join the IRB Modelling team to lead the development/remediation, management and maintenance of IRB models.
This role offers the chance manage a team of modelling specialists in an exciting and fast paced environment!
In this role, you will:
- Develop and execute advanced model maintenance processes;
- Lead specific model development/remediation projects and regular model monitoring and model performance reviews;
- Ensure output compliance with internal and Regulatory requirements;
- Engage effectively with key stakeholders (e.g. Business Model Owners, Model Validation teams, Model Risk teams etc);
- Support internal model governance processes; and support preparation for engagement with Regulators.
What will make you stand out?
We are seeking someone with Credit Risk/IRB Modelling expertise and a good understanding of SAS or a similar programming language.
With previous experience leading small teams you will be a strong communicator with excellent influencing skills.
Finally you will have knowledge of IRB model regulation and guidelines alongside practical experience of data risk management.
Previous experience on Credit Risk/Basel/Predictive Modelling would be advantageous.

IRB and Credit Risk Models is the analytical centre of excellence within Group Risk. Our responsibilities include:
- Developing all of the Group's credit risk models, both for use in operational decision-making and for IRB regulatory capital calculation and IFRS9 impairment calculation
- Increasing the use of credit risk models to automate decision-making and move away from manual processes
- Maintaining and monitoring these models, and generating appropriate insight
This job is open to those based in both ROI or UK with the primary office location as Dublin or Bristol to which travel will be required for in person collaboration. Exact frequency to be agreed.
