The Enterprise Maintenance Excellence (EMEx) function in Medtronic plc is part of the Operation Innovations (OI) Group.
EMEx focus on all aspects of the equipment life cycle, from development, maintain ‘As New’ and ultimate decommissioning. We will engineer the extraordinary through rigorous application of technical excellence and enterprise-wide development, deployment, and execution of standardized work and engineering strategy. We maximize business value by establishing systems and practices for the design and management of equipment to optimize availability and its effective life, through the prioritization of effective and efficient planned, preventative, and predictive maintenance.

A Day in the life of:
Experience life through the EMEx which is the function responsible for enterprise-wide development, deployment, and execution of maintenance excellence program.
Responsible for performing and supporting research for teams operating within EMEx group.
Assists with the development, coordination, and implementation of training material as assigned.
Assists with the development, monitoring, coordination, and implementation of technical projects as assigned.
Contribute to supporting the department in day-to-day activities and liaise with cross-functional and cross site teams to develop successful maintenance programs.
Support teams driving innovation and continuous improvement.
Complete innovative projects to broaden equipment, software, maintenance, and quality systems knowledge.
Present project outcomes to EMEx management staff.
Use analysis techniques and other tools to aid decision making.
Collaborate on updates to procedures as required to ensure compliance to specifications and procedures in area of responsibility.
Key Skills & Experience
Third level – Minimum Level 7 Degree in Engineering, Science, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
Qualified within the last 2 years.
Knowledge and experience of GMP and GDP.
Strong communication skills. Ability to communicate verbally and/or in writing.
Dynamic team player.
Contributes to process improvement using quality tools and measurements.
Builds and maintains positive relationships with others; shows respect and consideration for others.
