What is the opportunity
Data Management is building a new capability to protect our data as an asset, to achieve BCBS239 regulatory compliance and to support the foundations of the Digital Relationship Bank. You will work with a diverse, high-performing team of data professionals in a scrum environment, optimise use of the Bank's strategic data platforms (Teradata, Cloudera, and Informatica), and complete industry-recognised, certified training courses. GDAO is a fast-growing and very visible team with opportunity to influence Group strategy, improve customer service, and further your own career.
In this role you will:
- Data Quality Problem Management: Take a proactive approach to logging, triaging, problem solving and validating Data Quality findings through to remediation using data driven analytics approaches
- Stakeholder support/engagement across the bank. Working with Data Owners, Data consumers and business SME's to guide, support and enable Data Quality Management.
- Apply Data Science method and rigour to the Data Management approach, supporting evolution of the Group Data Management standards and tooling
What will make you stand out?
3+ years of experience in a data analytics role, including working with large datasets, relational databases and experience with a combination of tools such as SQL,
Sense of Curiosity
Enjoys solving problems by thinking outside the box
Able to articulate and communicate with a wide range of technical/non technical people
Python, Tableau or other
Data Management certification
Experience working in an agile environment using such tools as JIRA

The Group Data & Analytics Office (GDAO) is a central team with the strategic goals to: Simplify Data Architecture, Drive Data Quality and Accelerate the adoption of analytics to transform the bank, engage our customers and deliver value.
The Group Technology & Customer Solutions (GTCS) division is responsible for the provision of change management, technology, information security, payments and card services across the Bank of Ireland.
